Asou = And so is it! I understand.

How do we come up with that idea?

I am Marco Glaesener and I was never a good student. I had just earned my diploma as an electro-mechanic at that time. However, I only made it in the working world for three months in my profession. After that I was a security guard and cashier at a gas station for many years. I then worked as a concierge in several sports halls.

I was going through a divorce when I was working as a concierge. I didn't see my children much at that time, but like any father I naturally wanted them to write good grades in school despite everything. As a concierge, you have a lot of time to think and read. That's what I did and did research on teaching methods. So I went to the book of Paul Scheele, Photoreading; bumped I did everything in that book exactly as it was written. It was amazing what I could do after a few months. I could understand a large newspaper article in a few seconds. With books, I was able to recognize the key words very quickly and within a week I had understood the most important things and was able to apply them.

As best I could, I passed that method on to my children. Later they told me that it helped them. They used this technique for years afterwards at the university.

Of course, I did not stop researching further teaching methods. By reading books I have learned Speed reading and Mnemo techniques (in German). Since I was just in training to become a swimming teacher, I naturally applied the different techniques. That's how I studied for tests and exams. During the apprenticeship, I also took the truck driving test, just to test the newly learned techniques. I passed that with ease and I also got my diploma as a swimming teacher with quite good points. I am no longer a mediocre student.

A few years ago I thought about what could be done so that more people could learn the method. At some point it became clear to me that we had to start already in primary school. If children are taught how to learn from an early age, they have the best chance of leading a truly independent life and getting that diploma in their favorite profession. This year in September, I launched a petition to achieve just that. The petition ended on October 20, 2023, with far too few signatures.

However, I haven't given up yet. I created this site to make the different teaching methods in Luxembourg more known. Through the course, I want to pass on my knowledge of teaching techniques. And that is what I want to do, until children in primary schools throughout Luxembourg, thanks to a uniform training of school teachers, are taught different teaching methods.
